I find that response interesting as one of the things you said you like is supporting multiple paradigms. It seems to me that any language that supports multiple paradigms will provide multiple ways of doing things. In fact, is there any language these days where a lot of those duplicates don’t exist? Indeed, wouldn’t that rule be a knock on any language that includes different types of loops as well as recursion?

I will also note that I’m not happy about the inclusion of significant whitespace and largely because I worry about it causing issues for novices in several ways.
